Horizon PracticesAn explicit boundary, not an absence to interpret.
Areas recorded on the capability map as direction. None of them is offered. They are listed because a reader assessing scope is better served by an explicit boundary than by an absence they have to interpret.
A supplier who lists only what they do leaves the reader to work out the edges. That is where scope disputes begin.
Each entry below states the area, why it is adjacent to the millwork practice, and what would have to be true before it were anything other than direction. Where a boundary is permanent rather than developmental, the page says so.
Horizon items are recorded distinctly from capability.
Architectural metal
Adjacent because
mixed-material fixture work already involves metal. Sheet-metal parts and flat patterns are detailed in-house today, and welded assemblies are detailed with fabrication specialists where a scope requires it. That is set out on mixed-material and fixture detailing.
The permanent boundary.
Structural steel detailing, curtain wall and architectural aluminium such as storefront systems are not offered and are not in development. They are separate disciplines, with different buyers, different obligations and different professional responsibilities.
What sits between
is fixture-scale metalwork, which is already covered within the fixture packages it belongs to rather than sold as a metal service.
Product manufacturers
Adjacent because
the practice already produces Revit content for cabinet, casework and fixture manufacturers, set out on manufacturer content libraries. That serves a manufacturer rather than a fabricator, which is a different buyer from the rest of the microsite.
Recorded as direction
because a broader product-manufacturer practice would involve content distribution, hosting and range maintenance arrangements that are not established.
What is available today
is the content itself, delivered to the manufacturer. Hosting and distribution are the manufacturer's decision and sit outside the scope.
Marine and yacht
Adjacent because
marine and yacht interiors are joinery, and the detailing discipline has a great deal in common with high-specification fit-out work.
Recorded as direction and not offered.
No capability in this area is established, and none is claimed. Where a market position would be involved, that position has not been decided, and this page does not describe one.
Nothing on this site should be read as an offer to take on marine or yacht work.
What none of this means
Not a forecast.
Nothing here is described as forthcoming, and no entry carries a date.
Not available on request.
A horizon item is not something that can be arranged by asking. Where a capability can be scoped on enquiry, it appears in the service register as Tier 2 instead.
Not a hidden capability.
If it were deliverable, it would be in the register.
