Free millwork drawing review Send two sets. Get an honest read back.

Three things, on the sheets themselves rather than in a summary email.

• What's strong. The parts of the set that are doing their job, and why. This matters more than it sounds. A reviewer who only finds fault is not reading, they are performing.
• What an architect will bounce. The conditions most likely to come back as a comment: specification references a reviewer cannot verify, schedules that do not close out, deviations that are drawn rather than declared, fabrication detail sitting on a submittal.
• What we'd do differently. Not a rewrite. The specific changes that would have saved a round, with the reasoning attached so your own detailer can judge whether they agree.

Turnaround is five working days from receipt of both sets.

The review runs against the same list our own sets are checked against before issue.

• Whether the drawing carries the standard the specification names, and whether the sections support that grade
• Whether surface exposure categories are distinguished where the grade requires it
• Whether hardware is specified to the level the grade expects, rather than by function alone
• Whether scribe and tolerance strategy is shown or assumed
• Whether grain and material direction survives from the finish schedule onto the elevation
• Whether the set is a submittal, a fabrication set, or an uncomfortable mixture of both
• Whether item tags carry through to the schedules without breaking

They are reviewed and returned. They are not stored beyond the review, not used as samples, not shown to anyone outside the reviewing team, and not used to train anything.

If you would rather redact client identifiers before sending, that is normal and it does not affect the review.

It is for a shop or contractor with real sets in hand who wants to know whether an outside detailer sees what their own people see. It works best on a set that came back with comments, because the reasons are usually visible in the package.

It is not a free sample of our work. If you want to see what we produce rather than what we notice, the sample drawing sets are the faster route and need only an email address.

It is not a specification review. That reads the written documents rather than the drawings, and it sits under millwork engineering.
