Studio models Three ways to work with us - built around your backlog.

Different accounts need different shapes of help. Some just need a package taken off the desk this week. Others need a team that knows their standards well enough to stop asking. This page is the three ways that happens.

Overflow - per package, no commitment

Send a package, get it back, decide whether to send another. No retainer, no seat count, no standing team - just the next drawing set off your desk when your own capacity is the constraint.

This is where every one of the nine service lines starts, and for a lot of accounts it's also where they stay. There's no penalty for never moving past it.

Studio - a dedicated team that stays

A Studio is the same people project after project, working to a Standards Record that gets thinner over time because it already knows your title block, your conventions, your exceptions. You stop re-explaining the same thing on every job.

This is the model for accounts with steady, recurring volume - where the cost of re-onboarding a new team every package is the real waste.

Engineering Studio - platform-native, production-connected

For shops running a parametric platform, a Studio that also works natively inside Microvellum, Cabinet Vision or SolidWorks/SWOOD - so the same team producing your drawings can also touch your production data, without a handoff between two vendors who don't talk to each other.

This is the model for shops where drawings and production data are already meant to come from the same source, and currently don't.

Add-ons, on any model

Take-offs, cut lists, 3D modelling, BIM content, mixed-material detailing - any of the nine service lines can sit on top of Overflow, Studio or Engineering Studio as the account needs them. The model you start with isn't a ceiling on what it can cover.

Structured to fit - including where you need the team to sit

Every account is structured against its own constraints - volume, platform, standards, and where the work needs to happen. If location is a real constraint for your project, say so and we'll tell you plainly what's possible rather than assume it doesn't matter to you.

Nobody starts with a retainer, and nobody should. Try one package. Stay because the team keeps getting better on your account.

Answers

Common questions

How do I choose between Overflow, Studio and Engineering Studio?
It comes down to how much of your backlog you want to move, and whether you want a dedicated team that stays or a per-package arrangement. Tell us the volume and the platform, and we'll tell you which model actually fits.
Can we start with Overflow and move to Studio later?
Yes, and that's the usual path. Overflow carries no commitment, so it's a low-risk way to test the work before a dedicated team makes sense.
Where is the team based?
Structured to fit your constraints, including where a project genuinely requires it. Ask, and we'll tell you plainly rather than assume it doesn't matter to you.
Is pricing different across the three models?
Every account is quoted against the model that fits it. Ask for a quote against your package rather than a rate card - the models differ in shape, not in a published rate.

A conversation before a commitment, not a sales pitch.

  • Structured to fit your volume, platform and standards - not a fixed package
  • No rate card, no seat costs, no composition matrix to negotiate
  • One named contact, not a general queue
  • Every account can move between models as its needs change
