Interior Designer job description

BluEnt's Architecture and Interior Studio has an immediate opportunity for an Experienced Interior Designer with experience in all phases of interior design services for Hospitality, Retail & Office Projects, Millwork expertise for creating shop drawings of case works, cabinets, furniture, fixtures & fit outs and shop drawings for Stone and tiling for bars, hotel lobby interiors and high-end residences.Candidate must have a positive attitude and great work ethic. The Interior Designer will assist our client's Principal Designer, Millwork Engineers, and Project Managers to establish design direction and complete working drawings, design sketches, presentations drawings, shop drawings, and other computer-generated or drafted documents.Our clients are all award-winning international Interior and Architectural Companies.Job Responsibilities:Ability to lead and drive the development of design projects including all aspects of Interior Design.Create original design concept presentations, including vibe boards, special layout studies and finish materials.Coordinates with client's design & technical/engineering team for design and installation solutions and incorporate into projects.Develop full interior drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, RCP, millwork sections, details & specific schedules.Ensure continuity and consistency of design deliverables, meet project schedules, budgets and deadlines.Modify and prepare construction drawings during design development phase.Prepares construction documentation sets and or Shop drawings sets.Review and check the drawings for accuracy and completeness, before releasing the drawings.

Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing interior projects for the hospitality, retail, office, residential and commercial industry, including high-end restaurants.Knowledge of quality shop drawings for the Stone and Tiling Industry to detail and document all requirements of design parameters for floor & wall tiling, Kitchen counter tops, Reception Desks, Backsplash, stairs, and landscape features.Knowledge of construction materials, details, standards and building codes.Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and as well as independently with minimal guidance.Knowledge of engineering, shop drawings and millwork design and drafting standards is an advantage.Well versed with material and their finishes i.e. wood, laminate, metal, plastics, fabric, stone, tiles, solid surfaces etc. and understanding on interfacing, transitioning and termination details for these materials.Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.Reliable focused, and detail oriented.Strong technical skills and abilities and aptitude for problem-solving.Self-motivated individuals who are skilled, personable, and are committed to professional excellence, with high level of initiative and “can do” attitude.Time management and ability to multitask are essential and ability to effectively meet the deadlines.Effective communication skills both written and verbal to deal with international projects and go on daily calls and desktop sharing meeting.
