CAD Associate job description

BluEnt is looking for a CAD Associate for producing accurate architectural drawings and documentation for residential, commercial, and other building types. The role supports the Architectural Documentation team by translating architects’ sketches and specifications into detailed, code-compliant technical drawings and coordinated plan sets.

Technical Skills
-Architectural drafting and documentation
-AutoCAD proficiency
-Revit (optional / basic knowledge preferred)
-Preparation of construction drawings and plan sets
-Knowledge of building codes and standards
-Understanding of architectural detailing and structural concepts

-Ability to read and interpret architectural sketches and drawings
-Familiarity with American design and drafting standards (preferred)

Requirements

-Analyze building specifications, site conditions, and applicable building codes.
-Develop technical drawings based on architects’ sketches and design specifications.
-Create, modify, and manage architectural drawings using CAD software.
-Prepare detailed, accurate, and scaled plans for buildings, foundations, and structural components.
-Draft and refine floor plans, layouts, elevations, sections, and construction details.
-Develop master plan sets and multiple drawing versions with design options.
-Ensure all drawings comply with technical standards, measurements, and building codes.
-Review engineering drawings and architectural documents for accuracy and coordination.
-Generate additional documentation required for project submissions and approvals.
-Coordinate with team members and assist in overseeing drafting work when required.
-Support project teams with documentation updates and revisions.
-Perform other drafting and documentation tasks as assigned.
