5 Signs That You Are Getting Ready to Fail

We hope to succeed, but all we do is imagine varying degrees of failure. For instance, you want to speak to your boss about a raise.

You walk up to his/her office but all you can think of are the three times you didn’t make it to office on time and the terrible mail exchange you had with your colleague last week. Instead of focusing on the targets you achieved in the last quarter, you think of everything that went wrong.

What’s the result? You decide that you do not deserve the raise and you return to your desk without a word. Do you realize that you are preparing yourself for defeat? Here are the top 5 signs.

1. You think poorly of yourself all the time.

2. You are quick to blame yourself.

3. Your opinion of yourself is largely dependent on what other people think of you.

4. You hold on to every word of criticism.

5. You make decisions based solely on how you feel.

We spoke to Chhavi Khandelwal, one of BluEnt‘s positivity enthusiasts, and learnt that positive thinking is the secret behind her energy and success.

She says, ‘Whenever I am sad or I’ve made a mistake, the first thing I tell myself is that its not the end of the world. I start by accepting my mistake and think of ways of fixing it. I find a way to move on. I believe that whatever happens, happens for the good. And, my present is always better than my past!’

The role of thought has been discussed by scholars, researchers and religious thinkers worldwide, yet few seem to understand it. Why do we miss the obvious?

Thinking is part of a winning attitude. Believe it or not, when it comes to thinking right, you can be your worst enemy. In the words of one of our favorite motivational speakers, Joyce Meyer, ‘Do anything you can do to keep your mind off yourself.’

Lets face the truth. Feelings come and go. If you allow yourself to be guided by emotions, you will end up being a highly unpredictable and unstable person. Think right, and let your feelings catch up.

‘You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle but you are worthy of love and belonging,’ says Brené Brown, who has spent the past ten years studying vulnerability, courage, authenticity, and shame.

So, get up, shake the dust off your feet and move on. No matter what, tomorrow is always a new day.

Maximum Value. Achieved.
